SCOSS encourages the open science community to consider financially supporting DOAB and its services where possible.

The goal of the service is to support trust in OA book publishing, by improving transparency around quality assurance of OA book publishers and their publications.

JSTOR, African Platform for Open Scholarship (APOS), Fulcrum, and Thoth Open Metadata join DOAB Trusted Platform Network

The Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB) is delighted to formally announce that four new platforms have recently joined the DOAB Trusted Platform Network. JSTOR, the African Platform for Open Scholarship (APOS), Fulcrum (University of Michigan Press), and Thoth Open Metadata have each signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DOAB to facilitate cross-platform collaboration for open access books.

Supporting Ukrainian Editorial Staff (SUES) is an initiative by various European institutions, infrastructures, and organizations (IBL-PAN, OPERAS, DOAJ, DOAB, EIFL, AEUP), as well as a number of French scientific publishers, aimed at supporting scientific communication in Ukraine and helping scholarly journals and academic publishers to continue their publishing activities.
